Alzumab 25mg Injection is a monoclonal antibody that helps regulate immune system activity. It is used in the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis that requires systemic therapy, as well as for treating cytokine release syndrome associated with moderate to severe COVID-19-related ARDS.
Alzumab 25mg Injection is given by intravenous infusion by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital or clinical setting. It is infused slowly over several hours. It is important to attend every scheduled dose and monitoring appointment since treatment response and safety are closely observed. The treatment schedule should be followed exactly as directed by the doctor.
Some people may experience infusion-related reactions during or after receiving Alzumab 25mg Injection, such as chills, fever, rash, cough, breathing difficulty, flushing, headache, or changes in blood pressure. These are more common during the first infusion and usually improve with slower administration and appropriate management.
Alzumab 25mg Injection should not be used in people who have had a severe allergic reaction to itolizumab or any ingredients in this product. Before starting treatment, patients must be screened for tuberculosis, and treatment should be used with caution in those with a history of recurrent infections or immunocompromised status. Vaccines should generally be avoided during therapy. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not recommended due to insufficient safety data.
In Treatment of moderate to severe plaque Psoriasis
Alzumab 25mg Injection helps reduce the underlying immune-driven inflammation that causes thick, scaly skin lesions in psoriasis. It decreases T-cell activation and skin inflammation, leading to significant improvements in skin appearance, reduced itching, and less redness over time. When used as prescribed, it improved comfort and greater confidence in social and daily life activities, as the visible burden of the disease is reduced.
In Treatment of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
In patients experiencing cytokine release syndrome during severe COVID-19 acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), Alzumab 25mg Injection helps regulate the excessive immune response and lower inflammatory markers that worsen lung function. This helps improve breathing, better oxygenation, and lowers the risk of critical deterioration. As inflammation settles, patients often gain greater respiratory stability, which contributes to better recovery prospects and improved ability to return to normal physical function.

How Alzumab Injection works
Alzumab 25mg Injection works by targeting CD6 receptors on activated T-cells, reducing their stimulation and blocking the downstream release of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6, IFN-γ, and TNF-α. Modulating this immune pathway helps control abnormal immune activity, reducing inflammation in plaque psoriasis and dampening the cytokine storm seen in severe COVID-19-related ARDS.
