How to use Alocet D Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alocet D Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

How Alocet D Tablet works

Alocet D Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Cetirizine, dextromethorphan and phenylephrine which relieve dry cough. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.

Pregnancy

Driving
Alocet D Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
Alocet D Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Alocet D Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
