Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup is a combination of two medicines. This prescription medicine helps to treat common cold. It manages the symptoms of the common cold such as sneezing, runny nose, fever, etc.

How Adwin P Syrup works

Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Paracetamol/Acetaminophen and Promethazine which relieve common cold symptoms. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Promethazine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Safety Advice

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup.
Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
For prolonged use and repeated doses of Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup, observe the baby for excessive sleepiness.
Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Adwin P 125mg/5ml/5mg/5ml Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
However, caution is advised in patients with severe kidney disease as it may cause excessive sleepiness in them.
