Uses of Adiza Tablet

Adiza Tablet is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.

How to use Adiza Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Adiza Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Adiza Tablet works

Adiza Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Adiza Tablet.
Pregnancy
Unknown. Human and animal studies are not available. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Adiza Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Driving
SAFE
Adiza Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
There is limited information available on the use of Adiza Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

What if you miss a dose of Adiza Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Adiza Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Expert Advice

  • Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away.
  • Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention.
  • Long-term use can cause weak bones and deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Take it one hour before the meal, preferably in the morning.
  • It is a well-tolerated medicine and provides relief for a long time.
