Acticod Syrup

Acticod Syrup is a combination medicine used to treat dry cough. It relieves allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itching, and congestion. It also reduces the activity of cough center in the brain and provides relief from cough.


Acticod Syrup may be taken with or without food and it's better to take it in a dose and duration advised by the doctor. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember.

It may cause some side effects like nausea, vomiting, constipation. This medicine may cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. While taking this it is better to avoid alcohol intake, as it may worsen your side effects.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Acticod Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Acticod Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Codeine and Triprolidine, which relieves dry cough. Codeine is a cough suppressant. It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Triprolidine is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which may trigger cough due to allergy.
