Sulbactam(1000 mg)

Uses

Acinostop 1000mg injection is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

How it works

Acinostop 1000mg injection belongs to group of medicines called betalactamase Inhibitor with very weak action against bacteria.  Beta-lactamase inhibitors are available only in fixed combinations with specific penicillins (beta-lactam antibiotics) such as amoxicillin, ampicillin, piperacillin, and ticarcillin. It works by preventing destruction of beta-lactam antibiotics from chemicals released from bacteria and extends their spectrum of activity.

  • It is preferentially given as an injection directly into a vein or into a muscle but tablet form is also available.
  • Tell the doctor if you have diabetes and regularly check your urine for sugar level; ampicillin and sulbactam may cause false positive results.
