A Kare Combipack is a combination of two medicines, which is used for medical abortion (terminating a pregnancy). This medicine blocks the action of progesterone, a female hormone required to maintain pregnancy and induce contractions in the uterus, which further helps in abortion.

A Kare Combipack should be taken with food or as per your doctor's advice. You must start with a dose of Mifepristone. It should be taken orally, by swallowing the tablets whole with a glass of water. If you experience vomiting within 30 minutes of tablet intake, inform your doctor or take another tablet. The medicine may take 24- 48 hours to show its action and you might experience spotting or bleeding. After a period of 36-48 hours, you have to take Misoprostol tablet, either orally or vaginally. You are suggested to have proper rest after this dose intake as it may cause severe stomach pain or vaginal bleeding thus leading to abortion.

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Some side effects may mean you should inform your doctor immediately include heavy vaginal bleeding or abdominal pain.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have ever had an ectopic pregnancy, or you are breastfeeding or using an intrauterine device. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. You must avoid strenuous activity like heavy exercise, running and driving while abortion as it can affect the bleeding. Your doctor may perform an ultrasound or pelvic examination to check for abortion completion.

A Kare Combipack is used to cause an abortion during the early part of a pregnancy. It is used up to week 10 of pregnancy (up to 70 days after the first day of your last menstrual period). This medicine effectively blocks the natural female hormone, called progesterone, that is needed for your pregnancy to continue. Please use it only as advised by the doctor.

How A Kare Kit works

A Kare Combipack is a combination of two medicines: Mifepristone and Misoprostol, which causes abortion. Mifepristone blocks the effects of progesterone, a natural female hormone that is needed for the pregnancy to sustain. Without this hormone, the lining of the uterus (womb) breaks down as it does during a menstrual period and stops the growth of the pregnancy. Quick tips

A Kare Combipack helps terminate a pregnancy.
Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as it can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
It does not affect fertility. Use contraception to avoid pregnancy.
For pregnancy termination:
- Take it no later than 63 days after the first day of your last menstrual period.
- Take Misoprostol 36 – 48 hours after taking Mifepristone.
- Rest for at least 3 hours after taking the Misoprostol.
- Take it only as prescribed by the doctor. Miscarriages, if incomplete, may result in serious medical complications leading to hospitalization, surgery and possible infertility.
- Vaginal bleeding lasting for approximately 12 days may occur after taking this medicine. Inform your doctor immediately if excessive bleeding occurs or if you suffer from severe abdominal pain.

Wait for a week or 10 days. Generally the bleeding continued for a week. Get an USG done after 2 weeks to check that there is nothing inside the uterus.

I got pragnent twice During first time, periods started after 7 weeks and doctor suggested for abortion. what medical treatment u r undergoingu can take I pill inly within 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse. but it is als not 100% efficacious. other den dis there is no other method to avoid pregnancy rt now. n there are no ways to know whether u cls be preganant by thia single exposuen you have to wait for your cycles.only at the time of ur due date or after missing period a urine pregnancy vl be able to tell u if u r pregnant or not n the only way to avoid pregnancy then would be medical abortion after getting a ultrasound pelvis for confirming location of pregnancyone more thing I Pill can bot be repeated again n again as with repeated use it disturbes the hormonal balance in body leading to unpredocatible ovulation and unwanted pregnancy. so either you need to use condoms for further exposures or any other contraceptive methods but that wls depens upon the medical treatment u r undergoing

What is A Kare Combipack and what is it used for?

A Kare Combipack contains two medicines, Mifepristone, and Misoprostol. A Kare Combipack is used for medical termination of pregnancy. It is only used to terminate a pregnancy which should not be more than 63 days old, counting from the first day of the last menstrual period.

How and in what dose should I take A Kare Combipack?

A Kare Combipack should only be taken as per the advice of the doctor. The course is started with Mifepristone. Misoprostol is advised after 36-48 hours of taking Mifepristone. However, Misoprostol should only be taken under the supervision of a gynecologist, at a clinic or hospital setting.

What should I expect after completing my course of A Kare Combipack?

After taking Mifepristone, you may or may not experience vaginal bleeding. However, you may experience abdominal cramping, diarrhea, stomach pain, and nausea immediately after taking Misoprostol. You may also have vaginal bleeding within 4 hours of taking Misoprostol. You may also be asked to stay at the clinic or healthcare center for at least 3 hours after taking this medicine. After 14 days of taking Mifepristone (pill you took before Misoprostol), your gynecologist may run some blood tests or perform ultrasonography to confirm whether pregnancy has been terminated or not.

No, studies have shown that this medicine does not impair the fertility of the women. Your future chances of getting pregnant are as equal as those who have not taken this medicine.
