Topinate Cream is meant for external use and is to be used only as advised by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with plenty of water if you accidentally get it in these areas.

Common side effects include a feeling of burning, pain, irritation or itching at the site of application. These are usually temporary and usually resolve with time. However, if they persist or worsen, let your doctor know.

Avoid covering the treated area with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor. Topinate Cream is not recommended to be used in children. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should also consult their doctors before using this medicine.

No, Topinate Cream should not be used for a long time. The doctor generally prescribes it for 2 consecutive weeks only. However, the treatment can be longer for chronic (long-term) inflammatory conditions. Consult your physician before using this medication.

Severe skin reactions are quite rare with Topinate Cream. Topinate Cream is an anti-inflammatory drug which is used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions and eczemas. However, skin reactions can occur in a person who is hypersensitive to Topinate Cream. It is important to leave the affected area open after applying Topinate Cream as using occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) can lead to skin reactions. The medicine may not itself cause a reaction but the added excipients with the medications can lead to a reaction in some cases. No, Topinate Cream should not be used on the face. It should be used only after consultation with your physician and if possible, the application on the face should be limited to a maximum of 5 days.

In case the inflammatory lesions get infected or there is any spread of infection, consult your doctor immediately.
