Kenacort 0.1% Cream

You should always use Kenacort 0.1% Cream exactly as your doctor has told you. It is only for use on the skin but do not use the cream or ointment on your face for more than recommended. Do not cover the area you have treated with a bandage or plaster unless your doctor tells you to. You should use this medicine regularly but do not apply large amounts or use it for longer than prescribed. It should be spread thinly. Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve after 2 weeks of treatment.

This medicine has few potential side effects but not everyone will get them. These may include allergic skin reactions, bacterial skin infections, burning, stinging and itching. Serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare but let your doctor know if you are bothered by side effects or they do not go away. Not all creams are likely to work for all skin conditions and may make some worse. Make sure you read the instructions that come with your medicine.

Let your doctor know about any medical issues you have, especially poor blood circulation, diabetes and immune system problems and about other medicines you are taking (particularly steroids).

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
