Frequently asked questions

Flexon Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea, or dizziness in some people. These effects are usually mild and may improve if the medicine is taken with food or milk. Some people may also feel tired or lightheaded. In rare cases, repeated use may affect kidney function or increase blood pressure, particularly in people who are dehydrated or have existing health problems. If side effects persist, worsen, or become severe, consult your doctor.
If you are using Flexon Tablet for short-term pain or fever, you can usually stop taking it once your symptoms improve. However, if it has been prescribed for a condition that causes long-term pain, you should continue taking it for the duration recommended by your doctor. Always follow your doctor’s instructions before stopping any medication.
Flexon Tablet is a medicine used for short-term relief of pain and fever. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as headache, body aches, toothache, sore throat pain, muscle pain, joint pain, and inflammation-related discomfort. It works by lowering fever and reducing substances in the body that cause pain and swelling. While it helps relieve symptoms, it does not treat the underlying cause of the illness. If pain or fever continues, consult your doctor.
Flexon Tablet should not be taken by people who are allergic to this medicine or to other similar pain relievers known as NSAIDs. It is also not recommended for individuals with stomach ulcers or stomach bleeding, severe liver or kidney disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or heart failure unless advised by a doctor. Long-term or improper use may harm the stomach, kidneys, or liver. Always inform your doctor about your medical history before taking Flexon Tablet.
Flexon Tablet should not be used to treat stomach pain without consulting a doctor. This medicine may increase the risk of stomach irritation and could worsen an underlying stomach condition, such as gastritis or ulcers. If you have persistent stomach pain, it is important to seek medical evaluation rather than self-medicating.
No, taking more than the recommended dose of Flexon Tablet is not safe and will not necessarily provide better pain relief. Higher doses can increase the risk of side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach irritation, heartburn, and diarrhoea. Repeated or excessive use may also cause kidney damage or liver damage. If the prescribed dose does not control your pain or fever, consult your doctor instead of increasing the dose on your own.
Flexon Tablet is generally not recommended during pregnancy unless your doctor specifically advises it. One of its components, ibuprofen, may affect the baby’s circulation and kidney function, especially during the later stages of pregnancy. Because of these risks, pregnant women should avoid self-medicating with this medicine. If you experience pain or fever during pregnancy, consult your doctor so a safer treatment option can be recommended.
Flexon Tablet should only be given to children if advised by a doctor. Children require doses based on their age and weight, and certain medicine combinations may not be suitable for all ages. Although it can reduce fever and pain, improper use may increase the risk of overdose, especially if other medicines contain similar ingredients. Consult a doctor before giving Flexon Tablet to a child.
Yes, ibuprofen can help reduce fever by lowering substances in the body called prostaglandins that are involved in inflammation and temperature regulation. However, fever may return until the underlying cause is treated. If fever lasts more than a few days or the person appears very unwell, medical advice should be sought.
It is best to avoid alcohol while taking Flexon Tablet. Alcohol can increase the risk of stomach irritation and bleeding when combined with ibuprofen, and it may also increase the risk of liver damage when combined with paracetamol. If you regularly consume alcohol, discuss this with your doctor before taking Flexon Tablet.
While taking Flexon Tablet, avoid alcohol and avoid taking the medicine on an empty stomach. If spicy or heavy foods worsen acidity or heartburn, it may help to eat lighter meals during treatment. If you develop stomach pain, black stools, or vomiting that looks like blood, seek medical attention immediately.
Flexon Tablet may temporarily reduce pain and inflammation from a tooth infection, but it does not treat the infection itself. Dental infections can spread and may cause swelling, fever, or a bad taste in the mouth. If you suspect a tooth infection, you should consult a dentist or doctor promptly for proper treatment.
