Fitgel Mouth Gel is for local application only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying it on the affected area. Please consult your doctor if your symptoms do not get better. It should not be taken by patients who are allergic to it or are less than 16 years of age. It should not be applied to open wounds. How Fitgel Dental Gel works

Fitgel Mouth Gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relieves mouth sores. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) which cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the mouth.

Fitgel Mouth Gel is prescribed for the treatment of mouth ulcers.
Avoid putting dentures or braces back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel in your mouth.
Avoid eating and drinking immediately after applying Fitgel Mouth Gel.
Using a clean finger to massage the gel onto the sore area, not more than once every 3 hours.
Do not smoke while using Fitgel Mouth Gel as it might cause some side effects.

There is no definite cause behind mouth ulcers. Some of the factors include biting the inside of your mouth; food sensitivities to acidic foods like strawberries, oranges, pineapples; lack of essential vitamins, especially B-12, zinc, folate, and iron; dental braces; using a toothbrush with hard bristles and certain medications.
