Betadine Vaginal Pessaries is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is best to use it at night time for better results. The affected area should be clean before using the medicine. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the medicine. Do not stop using it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better.
This medicine may cause side effects like burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. If the side effects bother you or do not go away, let your doctor know. You should stop taking it straight away if you have any signs of an allergic reaction. Signs of this include rash, hives, itching, shortness of breath, cough, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Talk to your doctor If signs of the infection get worse or last for more than 7 days. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
