There is limited data available regarding the common side effects of Celol Plus Tablet. However, some people may experience mild side effects such as constipation, nausea, stomach upset, dry mouth, headache, or muscle pain. In higher doses, it may cause loss of appetite, metallic taste, weakness, or frequent urination. Rarely, high calcium levels can develop, leading to kidney problems or heart rhythm disturbances.

This medicine should not be used in people with high calcium levels, vitamin D toxicity, or known allergy to its ingredients. Caution is advised in those with kidney disease, patients taking heart medicines like digitalis, or those using magnesium-based antacids and certain other drugs, as interactions may occur. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, it should be taken only if clearly needed, and elderly patients may require lower doses and close monitoring.

• Use calcitriol with caution in patients with kidney failure or those on dialysis, as it can raise phosphate levels and increase the risk of abnormal calcium deposits. A low-phosphate diet and suitable phosphate binders may be advised by the doctor.
• Avoid using magnesium-containing products along with calcitriol in patients on long-term dialysis, as this may lead to high magnesium levels in the blood. Always consult a doctor before combining such treatments.
