Diozyme Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pancreatin and Dimethicone. Pancreatin is a pancreatic enzyme supplement for people whose bodies do not make enough enzymes to digest their food. It contains a mixture of the natural enzymes which are used to digest food. Dimethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Yes, Diozyme Tablet is safe for most of the patients. However, it may cause some common side effects like stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, feeling sick and other uncommon and rare side effects like a fibrosing colonopathy (a rare bowel condition in which a part of the gut becomes narrow). Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent problem while taking this medicine.

Yes, the use of Diozyme Tablet can cause diarrhea. In case of diarrhea, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Also, avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. Talk to your doctor if diarrhea persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like less urination with dark colored and strong-smelling urine.

Take it during or immediately after a meal or a snack and drink plenty of water along with it.

Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
