How Aerotide Products work

Salbutamol + Beclometasone is a combination of two medicines: Salbutamol + Beclometasone1 and Salbutamol + Beclometasone2. Salbutamol + Beclometasone1 is a bronchodilator which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Salbutamol + Beclometasone2 is a steroid. It acts by stopping the release of certain natural substances in body that are responsible for inflammation (swelling) of the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

Q. When should I take Aerotide 200 mcg/100 mcg Inhaler?
Use one inhalation of Aerotide 200 mcg/100 mcg Inhaler once daily, either morning or evening, but at the same time each day. This will help to keep you free of symptoms throughout the day and night. Do not take more than 1 inhalation per day. After inhalation, rinse your mouth with water without swallowing.
Q. Do I still need to take Aerotide 200 mcg/100 mcg Inhaler even when I am feeling better?
Yes, it is advisable to use this medicine for as long as your doctor prescribes. It will only be effective as long as you are using it. Do not stop using it unless your doctor advises you to, even if you feel better, as your symptoms may get worse.

Before using Aerotide 200 mcg/100 mcg Inhaler, tell your healthcare provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you have heart problems, high blood pressure, thyroid, liver and kidney problems, diabetes, and eye problems like glaucoma, or if you are allergic to any food or medicines or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

No, you should not smoke while taking Aerotide 200 mcg/100 mcg Inhaler. Smoking irritates the lungs and will make your condition worse. Take advice from your doctor if you are finding it hard to avoid smoking.
