X - Ray L S (Lumbosacral Spine) LAT Views

The X - Ray L S (Lumbosacral Spine) LAT Views test is a diagnostic medical imaging technique that allows us to view the anatomy of the lower back. It detects abnormalities, injuries, and diseases of the bones related to the lumbar-sacral region. A beam of X-rays forms a 2D image on a special detector. The person stands erect or lies down horizontally in an exam gown without any body movements.
The procedure takes around 10 to 20 minutes, and no side effects are noticed. Body jewellery or piercings are not allowed during the X-ray procedure. For safety, women with possible pregnancies must inform the authorities beforehand. Abnormal results could indicate fractures, slipped discs, osteoporosis, arthritis, tumour, or other birth defects, for which immediate medical treatment is recommended.
