An X-Ray Chest Oblique View is a safe test that enables visualisation of the structures of the chest wall, including the breastbone, shoulder blade, collarbone, ribs, and surrounding muscles. Additionally, it aids in visualizing the internal organs of the chest, such as the airways, lungs, food pipe, heart, and diaphragm.

The image is black and white. The actual radiation exposure period is often less than a second. However, the entire exam may take between 15-20 minutes.

The test identifies injuries or fractures of the chest wall bones (collarbone, breastbone, ribs, and shoulder blade) as well as some lung disorders such as infections, abnormal growth (tumors), or pneumothorax and also identify any food pipe abnormalities, such as infections, inflammations, or abnormal growth.

What are the drawbacks of a bone X-ray?
