pulmoCORE Panel 12 offers testing of various genes that are associated with non-small cell lung cancer. The panel looks for genetic mutations in EGFR, ALK, ROS-1 and BRAF genes. The presence of these specific mutations in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) indicates sensitivity or resistance to certain therapies. Apart from these genes, this panel also uses PD - L1 (SP263 Ventana), a predictive assay that identifies patients who are most likely to respond to specific therapies, and to formulate timely diagnostic decisions and therapeutic choices.
