What is MRI Testis (MRI)?
A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Testis creates a picture of the testicles and surrounding soft tissues (blood vessels, lymph vessels, nerves, vas deferens).
MRI Testis test is done to diagnose unexplained urination problems (inability to control micturition/urination), to detect any tumor or swelling of the testicles.
What is MRI Testis (MRI) used for?
- To diagnose unexplained urination problem (inability to control micturition/urination).
- To detect any tumor/lump/swelling in of the testicles, pain and swelling of epididymis (epididymitis), cryptorchidism (undescended testicles)
- To find out congenital/birth defects abnormalities in the reproductive organ, impotency in males, orchitis (testis inflammation, anorchia (absence of one or both testicles)
- To detect testicular torsion (loss of blood supply to testis), testicular trauma (testis rupture).
