Know more about this test

A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Sella Brain with Contrast create a picture of the pituitary gland and the sella depression (which holds the pituitary) and surrounding soft tissues. The contrast helps in increasing the visibility of the internal organs and hence improves the sensitivity and diagnostic accuracy of the MRI scan.
This test is prescribed by the doctor to detect empty sella syndrome (ESS) as a congenital abnormality and to find out the presence of any tumor or abnormal mass growth in or around the pituitary gland.
