HIV-1 RNA Viral Load by GeneXpert

The HIV-1 RNA Viral Load by GeneXpert test measures the amount of HIV-1 genetic material (RNA) present in the blood, also known as the viral load. The report provides the HIV-1 Viral Load (Quantitative), HIV-1 Viral Load (IU/mL), and Log Value, which together indicate the level of HIV-1 circulating in the bloodstream. These results help healthcare providers determine when to start antiretroviral therapy (ART), monitor how well treatment is working, and identify potential treatment failure or drug resistance. The test uses GeneXpert real-time PCR technology, which offers accurate and reliable viral load measurement with a rapid turnaround time, supporting timely clinical decision-making and treatment monitoring.

The HIV Viral Load test measures the amount of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) genetic material present in the blood.
