The FLT3-ITD Allelic Ratio test measures the ratio of mutant to normal FLT3 gene copies in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It quantifies the extent of FLT3 internal tandem duplication (ITD) mutations, guiding treatment decisions and predicting prognosis. A higher allelic ratio often indicates a poorer prognosis, while a lower ratio may suggest a more favorable outcome in AML patients.
