AML Multiplex Basic Reflex to FLT3-ITD Allelic Ratio in Allahabad
Understanding AML Multiplex Basic Reflex to FLT3-ITD Allelic Ratio in Allahabad
What is AML Multiplex Basic Reflex to FLT3-ITD Allelic Ratio in Allahabad?
The AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) Multiplex PCR test detects specific gene rearrangements associated with AML. It analyzes BCR-ABL, PML-RARα, AML1-ETO, INV 16, NPM1, FLT3, and KIT gene abnormalities using PCR technology. This test aids in the diagnosis, risk stratification, and treatment decision-making for AML patients. Identifying these genetic alterations helps in determining the subtype of AML, predicting prognosis, and selecting appropriate therapeutic interventions such as targeted therapies or stem cell transplantation. The FLT3-ITD Allelic Ratio test measures the ratio of mutant to normal FLT3 gene copies in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It quantifies the extent of FLT3 internal tandem duplication (ITD) mutations, guiding treatment decisions and predicting prognosis. A higher allelic ratio often indicates a poorer prognosis, while a lower ratio may suggest a more favorable outcome in AML patients.
Note: In this test, if FLT3 is detected after processing AML Multiplex Basic then FLT3-ITD will be processed.
