Acidity-Reflux Panel

The Acidity-Reflux Panel is a comprehensive diagnostic panel designed to evaluate persistent acidity, acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion, and other upper gastrointestinal symptoms. It combines pathology and radiology investigations to identify common underlying causes, detect associated nutritional deficiencies, and evaluate conditions that may mimic or contribute to reflux-related symptoms. The panel includes a Helicobacter pylori Antigen Detection Test from stool sample to detect active Helicobacter pylori infection, a common cause of gastritis and peptic ulcer disease. Other blood tests include Complete Blood Count (CBC) to identify anemia, infection, or other blood cell abnormalities; HbA1c to assess diabetes, which can contribute to delayed gastric emptying (gastroparesis) and persistent upper gastrointestinal symptoms; Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Ultrasensitive to evaluate thyroid function, as thyroid disorders may affect gastrointestinal motility; Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA Antibody and Total Immunoglobulin A (IgA) to screen for celiac disease in individuals with chronic digestive symptoms; Liver Function Test (LFT) to assess liver health and identify hepatobiliary disorders that may present with upper abdominal discomfort; and Comprehensive Serum Iron Studies and Vitamin B12 to detect nutritional deficiencies associated with chronic gastritis, malabsorption, or prolonged acid-suppressive therapy. The panel also includes an Ultrasound (USG) Whole Abdomen to evaluate the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and other abdominal organs for structural abnormalities that may contribute to upper abdominal pain or digestive symptoms. Getting tested with the Acidity-Reflux Panel helps identify the underlying cause of persistent symptoms such as heartburn, acid reflux, upper abdominal pain, indigestion, bloating, nausea, frequent belching, or early fullness. Early evaluation supports timely diagnosis and appropriate management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Helicobacter pylori infection, peptic ulcer disease, and other gastrointestinal conditions, helping relieve symptoms and prevent complications.

What does Acidity-Reflux Panel measure?
Contains 44 testsVitamin B12
The Vitamin B12 test measures the amount of vitamin B12 in your blood. Vitamin B12 is important for a healthy nervous system, making red blood cells, and helping in DNA formation. Low B12 levels are common in older adults, children, vegans or vegetarians, people with diabetes, those who had gastric bypass surgery, breastfeeding women, and people with conditions like Crohn’s disease that affect vitamin absorption. High B12 levels can occur in liver diseases, certain blood disorders, or from taking vitamin supplements. Usually, high levels from supplements are not harmful, as extra B12 is removed through urine.
HbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin)
The HbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin) test precisely measures the percentage of sugar-coated or glycated hemoglobin in your blood. The test results represent the proportion of hemoglobin in your blood that has been glycated.
Hemoglobin, a vital protein found in red blood cells, is responsible for transporting oxygen throughout the body. Hemoglobin A is the most abundant form of hemoglobin, and when blood sugar levels increase, a higher proportion of hemoglobin A becomes glycated. As red blood cells have a lifespan of approximately 120 days, the sugar molecules remain attached to the hemoglobin for the duration of the cell's life. Consequently, the HbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin) test offers insight into your average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months.
CBC (Complete Blood Count)
- Differential Leukocyte Count
- Red Blood Cell Count
- Hb (Hemoglobin)
- Platelet Count
- Total Leukocyte Count
- Hematocrit
- Mean Corpuscular Volume
- Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin
- Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration
- Absolute Leucocyte Count
- Mean Platelet Volume
- PDW
- RDW CV
The CBC (Complete Blood Count) test measures the number of red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells (WBCs), and platelets. Each of these blood cells performs essential functions–RBCs carry oxygen from your lungs to the various body parts, WBCs help fight infections and other diseases, and platelets help your blood to clot. Therefore, determining their levels can provide significant health information. A CBC test also determines the hemoglobin level, a protein in RBC that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of your body. Evaluating all these components together can provide important information about your overall health.

Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody, IgA
A Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody, IgA test measures the presence of specific antibodies in the blood. These antibodies, specifically immunoglobulin A (IgA) antibodies, are produced in response to the tissue transglutaminase(tTG) enzyme which is involved in the body’s reaction to gluten.
Elevated levels of tTG IgA antibodies in the blood indicate an immune response to gluten, helping doctors confirm the presence of celiac disease or assess gluten sensitivity. A Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody, IgA test provides important information for the diagnosis and management of conditions associated with gluten-related disorders.
TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Ultrasensitive
The TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Ultrasensitive test measures the levels of TSH hormone in the blood. TSH is produced by the pituitary gland located at the base of the brain. Its function is to stimulate and regulate the functioning of the thyroid gland. It signals the thyroid gland to increase or decrease the production of thyroid hormones T3 and T4 when their levels are low or high, respectively. Therefore, when the levels of T3 & T4 decrease, the pituitary gland is stimulated to release TSH. This high TSH level, in turn, stimulates the thyroid gland to release more thyroid hormones (T3 & T4). It conversely happens when the levels of thyroid hormones increase.
Immunoglobulin A
The Immunoglobulin A test measures the concentration of IgA antibodies in the blood. The immune system produces these antibodies in response to pathogens and is primarily active in the mucosal membranes of the body, where they help prevent infections. Elevated levels of IgA may indicate chronic infections, autoimmune conditions, or inflammation, while lower levels can suggest immunodeficiency or impaired antibody production. This test provides essential insight into an individual’s mucosal immune health and is important for diagnosing and managing immune-related conditions.
LFT (Liver Function Test)
- Bilirubin (Total, Direct and Indirect)
- Gamma Glutamyl Transferase
- SGPT (Alanine Transaminase)
- Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)
- SGOT (Aspartate Aminotransferase)
- Protein Total, Serum
The LFT (Liver Function Test) helps determine the health of the liver by measuring various key markers in the blood, such as bilirubin, enzymes, and proteins. These components help assess inflammation, infection, diseases, etc., of the liver and monitor the damage due to liver-related issues.

Serum Iron Studies Comprehensive
- Serum Ferritin
- Total Iron Binding Capacity
- Iron, Serum
- Unsaturated Iron Binding Capacity
- Transferrin Saturation
The Serum Iron Studies Comprehensive package measures the level of iron in the body. It comprises a series of blood tests, including serum iron test that helps to evaluate iron level, total iron binding capacity (TIBC) test that helps to assess the ability of the body to transport iron in the blood, unsaturated iron binding capacity (UIBC) test that reflects binding of iron with transferrin, which is the main protein that binds with iron, transferrin saturation test that checks how many places on the transferrin that can hold iron are doing so, and ferritin test that detects ferritin protein in the blood and helps determine how much iron is stored in your body.
