3D scan hip joint is a non-invasive imaging process that uses special X-ray machines along with state-of-art computer technology for producing cross-sectional images. It can provide both vertical and horizontal images of the hip. The images can then be studied on the monitor.
3D scans are more detailed than regular X-rays as they show detailed images. The scan of the soft tissues, bone, and blood vessels is seen in better clarity than standard X-ray exams.
These scans are used for getting presurgical measurements of specific hip conditions. Before the procedure, you have to meet the radiologist who is going to conduct a patient history to learn about your underlying health problem and then describe the procedure to you.
