Malirid 2.5mg Tablet DT helps treat and prevent the recurrence of malaria in children. It is usually given in combination with other antimalarial medicines. It works by killing the malaria-causing parasites and stops the infection from spreading.

Give Malirid 2.5mg Tablet DT to your child by mouth, preferably with food, to reduce the chance of an upset stomach. The dose depends on your child’s weight and the type of malaria-causing parasite. Malirid 2.5mg Tablet DT may cause some minor and temporary side effects in some children. These may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, dizziness, and skin rash. These side effects usually go away once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, in case they persist or start bothering your child, consult your child’s doctor without any delay.

Inform the doctor of your child’s entire medical history, including any previous episodes of allergy, G-6-PD deficiency, blood problems, heart problems, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. This will help the doctor in planning your child’s overall treatment.
