How to use Zulfy-M Oral Suspension

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use.

How Zulfy-M Oral Suspension works

Zulfy-M Oral Suspension is a combination of three antibiotics: Ofloxacin, Metronidazole and Activated Dimethicone/Simethicone which treat diarrhoea. Ofloxacin kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Metronidazole kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Activated Dimethicone/Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Zulfy-M Oral Suspension related warnings

Zulfy-M Oral Suspension may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Zulfy-M Oral Suspension may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Zulfy-M Oral Suspension is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Zulfy-M Oral Suspension may make you feel sleepy, dizzy, confused. You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive.
Zulfy-M Oral Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zulfy-M Oral Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
