Zoldex MR Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended by your doctor.

Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, and diarrhea. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help you with ways to reduce or prevent them.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, and liver. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking to make sure it is safe for you. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine.

Zoldex MR Tablet treats muscle pain by relaxing stiff muscles. It also reduces swelling in the muscles. Altogether, it helps in easy movement and reduces discomfort. Once you see some improvement, you can start doing therapy exercises (such as walking or breathing exercises) that will help you get your strength back more quickly. Magnesium Trisilicate, an inorganic salt present in Zoldex MR Tablet prevents acidity that may occur due to the painkillers.

How to use Zoldex MR Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zoldex MR Tablet should be taken with or after food.

How Zoldex MR Tablet works

Zoldex MR Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Diclofenac, Paracetamol, Chlorzoxazone and Magnesium Trisilicate which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles. Magnesium Trisilicate is an inorganic salt that neutralizes the excess acid in the stomach.

Along with taking Zoldex MR Tablet, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from pain.
You might experience nausea, ask your doctor to prescribe you an antiemetic (anti-sickness medicine) if it troubles you.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures, heart disease, or stroke.
Liver problems may occur while you are using this medicine. Stop using this medicine and check with your doctor right away if you are having more than one of these symptoms: abdominal pain, clay-colored stools, dark urine, fever, itching, loss of appetite, tiredness, or yellow eyes or skin.

Zoldex MR Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Zoldex MR Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.

Driving

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether Zoldex MR Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Please consult your doctor.

Kidney

CAUTION

Zoldex MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Liver

UNSAFE

Zoldex MR Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
However, the use of Zoldex MR Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
