Zoldex MR Tablet is a combination medicine which helps in relieving muscle pain. It relieves muscle stiffness or spasm and improves the movement of muscles. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain, inflammation, and fever.

Zoldex MR Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended by your doctor.

Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, and diarrhea. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help you with ways to reduce or prevent them.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, and liver. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking to make sure it is safe for you. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine.

Zoldex MR Tablet treats muscle pain by relaxing stiff muscles. It also reduces swelling in the muscles. Altogether, it helps in easy movement and reduces discomfort. Once you see some improvement, you can start doing therapy exercises (such as walking or breathing exercises) that will help you get your strength back more quickly. Magnesium Trisilicate, an inorganic salt present in Zoldex MR Tablet prevents acidity that may occur due to the painkillers.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Zoldex MR Tablet

How Zoldex MR Tablet works

Zoldex MR Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Diclofenac, Paracetamol, Chlorzoxazone and Magnesium Trisilicate which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles. Magnesium Trisilicate is an inorganic salt that neutralizes the excess acid in the stomach.

Safety advice

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Zoldex MR Tablet.
Zoldex MR Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding
Information regarding the use of Zoldex MR Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor.
Zoldex MR Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Zoldex MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zoldex MR Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Zoldex MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zoldex MR Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Zoldex MR Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

What if you forget to take Zoldex MR Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Zoldex MR Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
