How to use Zerocef AZ Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zerocef AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Zerocef AZ Tablet works

Zerocef AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime and Azithromycin. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Zerocef AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Zerocef AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.

Q. What is Zerocef az used for?
Zerocef az is a fixed dose combination of two antibiotics and is used to treat patients with bacterial infections. Cefixime is used to treat infections of the ear, lung, throat and urinary tract. Azithromycin is useful in the treatment of ear infections, strep throat, pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea (loose stools and stomach cramps while traveling). Together they can be used to treat infections of an upper respiratory tract (typhoid and pneumonia), urinary tract and sexually transmitted diseases.

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). A patient may get this disease after having oral, vaginal or anal sex. Many patients with gonorrhea do not have any symptoms. Other patients may have symptoms like pain during sex, pain while urinating, discharge from the penis in males and changes in normal vaginal discharge of females.
