How to use Vorth TP Plus Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Vorth TP Plus Tablet works

Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: tapentadol and paracetamol which relieve pain. Tapentadol is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever and pain.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Taking Tapentadol+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
If you feel drowsy, dizzy, have blurred vision or a slow reaction time while taking Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet, then do not drive.
Kidney
Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Liver
CAUTION
Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Vorth TP Plus 50 mg/325 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
