Introduction of Tuxiril LS Syrup

Tuxiril LS Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, indigestion, upset stomach, vomiting, bloating, headache, rash, and sweating. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine can also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse.

Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

How to use Tuxiril LS Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Tuxiril LS Syrup may be taken with or without food.

How Tuxiril LS Syrup works

Tuxiril LS Syrup is a combination of four medicines:

  • Tuxiril LS Syrup is prescribed to get relief from a dry cough.
  • Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications, e.g., anti-depressants.
  • Consult your doctor if you do not see any improvement and have cough for more than 7 days.
  • Inform your doctor if you have had a cough for a long time or if you have asthma or suffer from serious asthma attacks, or if your cough is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache.

Tuxiril LS Syrup is used in the treatment of cough. It relieves allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, congestion, or stiffness. It also thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out.
Tuxiril LS Syrup should be used in adults and children above 12 years only. It is not recommended for younger children unless prescribed specifically by a doctor.
Do not use Tuxiril LS Syrup if you have allergies to any ingredients present in it, have taken MAO inhibitor medications in the past 14 days, or have severe heart, liver, or kidney disease, prostate problems, epilepsy, or high blood pressure unless your doctor approves.
You can drink plenty of water during the day to ease dry mouth and throat, sometimes caused by Tuxiril LS Syrup. Small frequent meals may help with stomach discomfort if you are experiencing it.
