Uses

Trifluoperazine is used in the treatment of schizophrenia.

How it works

Trifluoperazine works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects the thoughts and moods.

Common side effects

Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Sleepiness, Dry mouth, Abnormality of voluntary movements, Parkinsonism, Weight gain, Akathisia, Dystonia, Constipation.
Trihexyphenidyl(NA)

Uses

Trihexyphenidyl is used in parkinson's disease and drug induced abnormal movements.

How it works

Trihexyphenidyl works by decreasing the activity of excess accetycholine in brain. This improves muscle control and reduces stiffness.

Dry mouth, Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Blurred vision.
