Product introduction

Toltop-P Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Using this medicine can cause some common side effects such as dizziness, weakness, and sleepiness. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away with time, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver. Toltop-P Tablet treats pain due to muscle spasm by relaxing stiff muscles. It also reduces swelling in the muscles. Altogether, it helps in easy movement and reduces discomfort. Once you see some improvement, you can start doing therapy exercises (such as walking or breathing exercises) that will help you get your strength back more quickly. Toltop-P Tablet also reduces fever that sometimes accompany a muscle spasm.

How Toltop-P Tablet works

Toltop-P Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tolperisone and Paracetamol, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Tolperisone is a muscle relaxant. It works by acting on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve the muscle stiffness or spasm. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever.

If you are suffering from muscle pain due to muscle injury or overuse, you should take rest. Taking rest will help you avoid any further injury and help you recover efficiently. Make sure that you take plenty of sleep and try to reduce stress. Applying an ice pack to the affected area may help in relieving pain and inflammation. If your muscle pain is due to some other disease, follow the advice of your doctor.
No, there are no reports of any patient getting addicted to Toltop-P Tablet.
Toltop-P Tablet is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when your pain is relieved. However, Toltop-P Tablet should be continued if advised by the doctor.
Toltop-P Tablet contains paracetamol. This medicine is known to cause harm to the liver especially in the doses above the recommended level. Also, avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may further increase your risk of liver damage. Use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage such as fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes and abnormal liver enzymes.
It may take about an hour to see the initial benefit of pain relief after taking Toltop-P Tablet.
No, taking a higher than the recommended dose may not be more effective, rather it may increase the chances of having some serious side effects and toxicity. If you experience increased severity of your symptoms, that are not relieved by the recommended doses, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
