Thymogam Injection must be taken by following the instructions written in the label or as per the doctor's guidance. You must receive the exact dose of it as per the prescription. An overdose of this medicine may have serious side effects on the body.

The common side effects of this medicine are urinary tract infection, abdominal pain, nausea, shortness of breath, fever, headache, anxiety, chills, infections, etc. It may also cause an injection site reaction (redness, pain, and swelling). The medicine can safely be used in children. Inform the doctor immediately if you experience any allergic reactions such as rash, shortness of breath, coughing, swelling, etc.

Before taking this medicine, it is important to consult your doctor if you have any ongoing medication for any underlying disease. Pregnant and breastfeeding women must inform the doctor prior to the initiation of this treatment. During the treatment, your doctor may advise you some laboratory tests to know the effects of the medicine in the body.

Before taking this medicine you should tell your doctor if you have a history of hypersensitivity or any active or chronic infections.
The use of Thymogam Injection should be stopped immediately in case of anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction), thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), pain in the chest, respiratory distress (fluid build-up in the lungs), and hemolysis (rupture of red blood cells).
You should avoid taking live vaccines if you are about to receive, receiving or after treatment with Thymogam Injection. Concomitant administration of this medicine with live virus vaccines may interfere with the treatment. It also carries a potential of uncontrolled viral replication in case you have weak immunity.
Yes, this medicine can reduce the number of platelets or white blood cells in your body. If your platelet count falls between 50,000-75,000 cells/mm3 or if the white blood cell count is between 2,000-3,000 cells/mm3, then your doctor might reduce the dosage of your medicine till counts have either stabilized or returned to pretreatment levels. Frequent platelet and white blood cell counts during therapy are recommended to assist in decisions regarding dosage modifications.
There are no such interactions of Thymogam Injection with food and drinks. In case of any doubt, it is better to consult your doctor.
