Telma-AZ 16 Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It widens and relaxes the blood vessels, thereby lowering your blood pressure and reducing the workload of your heart. Controlling your blood pressure prevents future complications.
Telma-AZ 16 Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to maximize its benefits. In case you missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. How Telma AZ Tablet works
Telma-AZ 16 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: telmisartan and azelnidipine. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It relaxes blood vessels by blocking the action of a chemical that usually makes blood vessels tighter. This lowers the blood pressure, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly to different organs and the heart to pump more efficiently. Azelnidipine is a calcium channel blocker. It regulates the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and reducing the pressure on them, thereby making it easier for the heart to pump more blood throughout the body. In this way, it normalizes the blood pressure in patients with high blood pressure and also improves the oxygen flow in the body, thereby preventing any heart-related chest pain.

I have been recommended telma -h 40 mg due to high blood pressure. I take my medicine regularly and also keep monitoring blood pressure daily. Over time i have observed that gaps in taking medicine ( even up to 4-5 days ) doesn't elevate my blood pressure , however if this gap in medicine intake becomes 10-15 days the blood pressure shoots up. Due to fear of side effects now I deliberately keep gap of 2-3 days between my medicine but keep monitoring my BP. Is it ok to do keep such a gap in taking medicine as long as blood pressure is monitored and in normal range? Also at my age , will there be significant side effect from telma-h 40 mg
