Product introduction

Tecifidera 240mg Capsule should be taken as advised by the doctor. You may take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. You may need to get regular blood and urine tests to monitor your blood cells, and kidney and liver function during treatment with this medicine. Take it regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day and do not stop taking until you have completed your dose.

Some common side effects of this medicine include flushing, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, gastritis, increased liver enzymes, and rash. If you experience any of these side effects that do not go away or get worse, let your doctor know. They may be able to suggest ways to prejudice or prevent them.

Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have low white blood cell counts or an infection. Let your doctor also know of all the medical conditions and about the medicines you are taking to make sure it is safe for you. Individuals should not take Tecifidera 240mg Capsule if they are allergic to dimethyl fumarate or any ingredient in the medicine, or if they have suspected or confirmed progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), a rare and serious brain infection.
Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) is a rare, potentially fatal brain infection caused by a virus. Cases have been reported in patients taking Tecifidera 240mg Capsule, especially those with low white blood cell counts (lymphopenia). Your doctor will monitor your blood counts regularly to reduce this risk.
Yes. Tecifidera 240mg Capsule can lower lymphocyte counts, which may increase infection risk. Your doctor will check your blood before starting treatment and every 3 months during therapy. Treatment may be stopped if your counts drop too low for more than 6 months.
