Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tap Duo Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Tap Duo Tablet is a combination of two medicines: tapentadol and paracetamol which relieve pain. Tapentadol is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever and pain.
Taking Tapentadol+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.

Tap Duo Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tap Duo Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. If you feel drowsy, dizzy, have blurred vision or a slow reaction time while taking Tap Duo Tablet, then do not drive.
Tap Duo Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tap Duo Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, Tap Duo Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Tap Duo Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tap Duo Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Tap Duo Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
