How to use Symorest Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Symorest Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Symorest Tablet works

Symorest Tablet is a combination of three medicines: doxylamine, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) and folic acid which treat nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy. Doxylamine is an antihistamine which works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby controlling nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) is a form of vitamin B which possesses anti-nausea properties. Folic is also a form of vitamin B which provides essential nutrients.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Symorest Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
SAFE
Symorest Tablet is safe to use during pregnancy.
Adequate and well-controlled human studies have shown low or no risk.
Lactation
Symorest Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Symorest Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
Driving
Symorest Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Symorest Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Symorest Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Symorest Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Symorest Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
