The most common causes of vertigo are inner ear infections or diseases of the ear such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuritis, and Meniere's disease. Less common causes of vertigo can include head or brain injuries or migraines.
My sister was facing problem regarding recurrant attacks of vertigo and vomiting. We had consulted an ENTspecialist and he diagnosed it as BPPV. He had given some anti vertigo tablets and some vestibular exercises. She failed to arrange for further appointments with the doctor as she was busy for a year with some issues. Last week she again began to face the same problems. We again visited the same doctor and this time he asked for a CT Scan. I am really worried, what are the conditions she may be suffering from?
