How Saliderm F Ointment works

Saliderm F Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Fluocinolone acetonide, Benzoic Acid and Salicylic Acid. Fluocinolone acetonide is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Benzoic Acid is an antiseptic. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Fluocinolone acetonide into the skin.
