Ringer Lactate Infusion is a combination medicine used in short term fluid replacement after trauma. It replenishes the salt and electrolyte levels in the body.

Ringer Lactate Infusion is given as an injection under the supervision of a doctor. The dose depends on what you are taking it for and the severity of your condition. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine.

The medicine is generally safe with no common side effects. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have diabetes or kidney disease. Tell your doctor about pregnancy or breastfeeding before taking this medicine. Your doctor also needs to know what other medicines you are taking as there are many which interact with this medicine and affect the way it works. Ringer Lactate Infusion is a combination of four medicines: Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lactate, Potassium Chloride and Calcium Chloride, which replenishes the salt and electrolyte levels in the body.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Ringer Lactate Infusion.
Ringer Lactate Infusion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Hi PATIENT to 1mg. Lactate is given for lactation supplement. If mother has adequate milk for baby then no need to continue further. If baby need more milk then mother should continue as long as she desire. Many people use this for a year after delivery. Hope this information will help you.
