Prostaceum 100 Tablet is a modern medicine used in the treatment of piles (hemorrhoids). It works by shrinking the blood vessels and relieves symptoms such as bleeding, itching, discomfort, and pain. It also speeds up the healing process.

Prostaceum 100 Tablet can also be used to provide symptomatic relief following hemorrhoidectomy. This medicine can be taken with or without food. Take it regularly in the exact dose and duration for as long as the doctor has prescribed. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the full course of treatment, even if you feel well.

The medicine is generally well tolerated with little or no side effects. No serious or severe side effects have been reported. However, some people may experience nausea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. If you experience any such symptoms on taking this medicine, let your doctor know. They may be able to help you reduce or treat the side effects.

When coadministered with anticoagulants, cautions should be exercised as Prostaceum 100 Tablet has the potential to alter the coagulation profile. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are on any other medication for any illnesses as they may affect or be affected by this medicine. Let your doctor also know if you have any medical conditions such as kidney or liver diseases to make sure it is safe for you. A fibre-rich diet (wholegrain bread, cereals, fruit, and green leafy vegetables) with six to eight full glasses of water each day and daily exercise are important in maintaining healthy bowel function.
Do not take any other laxatives along with Prostaceum 100 Tablet without consulting your doctor.
Sometimes certain medicines, like iron tablets and antibiotics, might cause constipation. Inform your doctor if you are taking any of them.
Apart from using Prostaceum 100 Tablet, you can indulge in warm baths. It may help soothe the rectal area thus ease the pain if any.
Don't ignore the feeling of needing to pass stools. Some people suppress this feeling and put off going to the toilet until later. This may result in formation of bigger and harder stools that are more difficult to pass later.

Dear Sir, I am suffering from piles for last three year. Bleeding occurs occationally. Bleeding has occured 6 or 7 times in total for the last three years. It occurs when hard stool passes through anal.Generally my stool is smooth but when first part of my stool is hard and the remaining is smooth, bleeding occurs. After bleeding mild pain persists for a day or two but no burning. I have consulted a local doctor. He prescribed me ACID NIT 200. Yet bleeding occurs. Sir/Madam I have a child of one year old. During 6th month of my pregnancy i suffering from external piles. I show my problem to my gynecologist she tell me that it's normal in pregnancy and it's automatically disappear after chid birth. She also give me some medicine. In starting there is so much pain and bleeding. After one year of child birth till now piles exist but pain and bleeding are rare. I am not take spicy food.
