How to use Poly C Eye Ointment

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Poly C Eye Ointment works

Poly C Eye Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Polymyxin B and Chloramphenicol. Polymyxin B kills bacteria by destroying the bacterial cell membrane. Chloramphenicol stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Together, they eradicate your infection effectively.

CAUTION
Poly C Eye Ointment may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Pregnancy
