Otobiotic SF Eye/Ear Drops is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine must be applied only to the affected eye or ear. Wash your hands before administering the medicine. Use it regularly to get the most benefit. The course of the medicine should be completed even if you feel better. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.

The most common side effects of it are eye or ear burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the side of the application. These are usually mild and short-lived. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects persist or worry you. However, if you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.), you must seek immediate medical help.

Before using it, tell your doctor if you have an underlying disease or are taking medicines for any health condition. The medicines that are used externally usually do not get affected by other medicines, however, you should let your doctor know if you are taking any medicines to ensure safety. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

Otobiotic SF Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of three medicines: Lidocaine, Clotrimazole and Ofloxacin. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain to decrease pain sensation. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi while Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. This treats your infection.

Your doctor has prescribed Otobiotic SF Eye/Ear Drops to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your eye/ear, to avoid contamination.
Talk to your doctor if your symptoms haven't started to improve within two days of starting treatment, if they get worse during treatment or if you get another eye /ear infection.
If using Otobiotic SF Eye/Ear Drops for the eye:
- Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
- Do not wear contact lenses while using this medication.
