How Orex Gel works
Quick tips
- Apply the medicine directly to the ulcer using clean hands or a cotton applicator, and use only the amount recommended by your doctor.
- Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after application to allow the medicine to remain in contact with the ulcer and provide maximum benefit.
- Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing your teeth twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Brush gently around the affected area to avoid further irritation.
- Floss once daily to remove food particles and plaque from between the teeth, helping keep the mouth clean and reducing the risk of secondary infection.
- Rinse your mouth with plain water or a mild salt-water solution after meals, if advised by your doctor, to help keep the ulcer clean.
- Avoid spicy, acidic, salty, very hot, or hard foods, as these can irritate the ulcer and delay healing. Choose soft, bland foods until the ulcer improves.
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your mouth moist, as dryness may worsen irritation and discomfort.
- If you develop frequent mouth ulcers, discuss the issue with your doctor, as recurrent ulcers may be associated with nutritional deficiencies or other underlying medical conditions that require evaluation.
