You can take Olmin 20-H Tablet with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more so, it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well. High blood pressure does not usually have symptoms and if you stop taking it your risk of heart attack or stroke may increase.

The most common side effects is of Olmin 20-H Tablet are dizziness, nause, upper respiratory tract infections, and increased uric acid level in blood. If you are bothered by any side effects or they do not go away, consult your doctor. They may be able to help by adjusting your dose or prescribe an alternate medicine.

This drug is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding and you should ask your doctor before taking it if you have kidney or liver disease, heart trouble or diabetes. Drinking alcohol can further lower your blood pressure and may cause side effects.

Olmin 20-H Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Hydrochlorothiazide and olmesartan which lower blood pressure effectively. If a patient develops diarrhea while taking Olmin 20-H Tablet and no other cause of diarrhea can be deduced, then the doctor may advise the patient to discontinue it immediately and recommend another medicine.

What are the serious side effects of Olmin 20-H Tablet?

The serious side effects of Olmin 20-H Tablet include skin rash or itchiness, painful joints, fast heart beat, shortness of breath or tightness in the chest. Serious side effects may also include aching, tender or weak muscles not caused by exercise and swelling of the hands, feet or ankles. Olmin 20-H Tablet may also cause symptoms that may indicate high potassium levels in the blood, such as nausea, diarrhea, muscle weakness and change in heart rhythm.
