How Nuson G Cream works

Nuson G Cream is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Gentamicin. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Gentamicin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Frequently asked questions

Nuson G Cream is used for the treatment of bacterial skin infections associated with inflammation. It can help to relieve symptoms such as redness, swelling, itching, irritation and discomfort caused by some skin conditions. It helps to control the infection and inflammation and allows the affected skin to heal more effectively and comfortably.
Nuson G Cream contains betamethasone and gentamicin, which work together to treat bacterial skin infections and relieve associated symptoms. Gentamicin is an antibiotic that helps kill or stop the growth of infection-causing bacteria. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that helps reduce redness, swelling, itching and irritation. Together, they help treat the underlying infection while providing relief from inflammation and discomfort, supporting the healing of the affected skin.
Use Nuson G Cream on face only if recommended by your doctor. The skin on the face is more sensitive and can be more prone to side effects with long term steroid use. Do not use on your face for a long time unless advised. Do not get the cream in your eyes.
Use Nuson G Cream for the duration prescribed by your doctor, even if symptoms begin to improve earlier. Stopping treatment too soon may allow symptoms to return. However, prolonged or unnecessary use should be avoided, as long-term steroid exposure can increase the risk of skin-related side effects.
With consistent use, many people see improvement in itching, redness, and irritation within a few days. However, full recovery may take longer depending on the severity of the skin condition and how regularly the medicine is used as prescribed.
Yes, Nuson G Cream may help reduce itching, redness, swelling, and irritation associated with inflamed bacterial skin infections. As the inflammation settles and the infection improves, the affected area may become more comfortable and less irritated. Continue using it as prescribed for the best results.
Nuson G Cream can sometimes be prescribed for some inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis if there is also a bacterial infection or it is suspected. However, not all cases of these conditions will require this combination treatment and it should only be used for these conditions if advised by your doctor.
No. Nuson G Cream is not for treating fungal infections or viral skin problems unless directed by a doctor. Applying a steroid-containing cream to the wrong type of infection can worsen symptoms, delay appropriate treatment, or make the condition more difficult to diagnose and treat.
Yes, Nuson G Cream contains a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, redness, swelling, and itching. It also contains an antibiotic that helps treat bacterial infection. Because it contains a steroid, it should be used only as directed and for the recommended duration.
A mild burning or stinging sensation may occur temporarily after application. This usually settles on its own. However, if the burning is severe, persists, or is accompanied by worsening redness, swelling, or irritation, stop using the medicine and seek medical advice.
Prolonged or excessive use of Nuson G Cream may increase the risk of side effects such as thinning of the skin, changes in skin color, or increased skin sensitivity. Using the medicine only for the prescribed duration and on the affected area helps reduce these risks.
Do not apply Nuson G Cream to open wounds, deep cuts, severe burns, or severely damaged skin unless specifically instructed by your doctor. Applying it to these areas may increase absorption of the medicine and raise the risk of unwanted side effects.
Covering the treated area with airtight dressings or bandages can increase the amount of medicine absorbed through the skin. This may raise the risk of side effects, particularly with prolonged use. Only cover the area if your doctor has specifically advised you to do so.
Nuson G Cream should be used in children only when prescribed by a doctor. Children may absorb larger amounts of the medicine through their skin compared with adults, which can increase the risk of side effects. Follow the prescribed dose and duration carefully.
If Nuson G Cream accidentally gets into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with plenty of clean water. If irritation, redness, pain, or blurred vision continues, consult a doctor promptly to be sure no further treatment is needed.
Yes, keep using Nuson G Cream for as long as your doctor has told you to, even if symptoms improve before that. Stopping treatment too early may allow the infection or inflammation to return. However, do not continue using it longer than recommended without medical advice.
