How Numlo-D Tablet works

Numlo-D Tablet is a combination of two medicines. S-Amlodipine, also known as levamlodipine, is a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. This how it works to treat high blood pressure.

Quick tips

  • Numlo-D Tablet is prescribed to reduce high blood pressure and the risk of future heart attack and stroke.
  • It helps you to lose water via urination. If, however, you lose too much fluid, you may become dehydrated. This will make you feel thirsty and make your skin look and feel dry. Consult your doctor immediately.
  • Monitor your blood pressure regularly after starting treatment with Numlo-D Tablet, and notify your doctor if it does not lower down or if it becomes too low.
  • Avoid taking painkillers along with this medicine without consulting your doctor.
  • Lifestyle changes like a low-sodium diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this medicine work better.
