How Neosporin Ointment works

Neosporin Skin Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Bacitracin Topical, Neomycin, and Polymyxin B. Bacitracin Topical works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Neomycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Polymyxin B kills bacteria by destroying the bacterial cell membrane. Together, they eradicate your infection effectively.
