How to use Naari Cal Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Naari Cal Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Naari Cal Tablet works

Naari Cal Tablet is a combination of three medicines: calcium citrate malate, vitamin D3, and folic acid. Calcium citrate malate is a water-soluble calcium supplement. It increases the plasma calcium levels. Vitamin D3 is a form of vitamin D. It raises vitamin D levels in your blood. This, in turn, raises calcium levels in your blood by helping you absorb more calcium from food. Folic acid is a form of vitamin B. It plays a vital role in the formation of red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body. It is also essential in pregnancy due to its role in the development of the unborn baby's brain and spinal cord.

Quick tips

  • Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or if you have ever had kidney stones.
  • Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like antihypertensives, antibiotics, or medicines for heart disease or bone disorders.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking an iron supplement, as the absorption rate might be affected.

Individuals should not take Naari Cal Tablet if they have high calcium levels in the blood or urine. It is also not recommended for people with kidney stones or kidney failure. Those with conditions like bone cancer, hyperparathyroidism, or vitamin D overdose should avoid it. Do not take Naari Cal Tablet if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
You should avoid taking Naari Cal Tablet with high-fiber foods, spinach, or whole grains, as they can reduce calcium absorption. Your doctor may advise spacing out certain medications to improve absorption and prevent interactions.
During Naari Cal Tablet treatment, seek immediate medical help if you experience serious side effects. These may include swelling of the face, lips, or throat (which could be an allergic reaction), vomiting or severe stomach pain, irregular heartbeat, or very frequent urination and excessive thirst (which may indicate high calcium levels).
You should avoid taking Naari Cal Tablet with spinach or rhubarb, as they contain oxalates that block calcium absorption. Whole grain cereals should also be avoided since they contain phytates that reduce absorption. Additionally, limit foods and drinks high in caffeine or alcohol, as they may lower calcium levels in the body.
Yes, use Naari Cal Tablet cautiously if you have kidney problems, immobilized bones (for say, in long-term bed rest), high phosphate levels, or sarcoidosis (lumps or nodules formation in lungs, lymph nodes, and other parts of the body).
